About Us
Pictex is a state-of-the-art digital printmaking studio. Our giclée printmaking process genuinely captures and reproduces the essence of the original work - even the finest nuances of color, tone and texture.

We have worked with over 700 discriminating artists and more than 3000 pieces of artwork over the past 20 years. We are committed to the advancement of digital printmaking and to helping all creative minds take advantage of the artistic and economic opportunities it offers.

Our digital printmaking methodology combines the skilled craftsmanship of traditional printmaking with the latest advancements in digital imaging and color management.

Our clients are fine artists, photographers, galleries, museums, publishers and owners of artistic content from all over the country (including Hawaii and the Virgin Islands).  We pride ourselves on the partnerships we have with our clients and we always strive to work in a close and collaborative manner.

Over the years we have worked on all types and sizes of projects.  They have ranged from creating a single reproduction of an original Andy Warhol silkscreen, to producing a series of prints on silk to be displayed in the Danforth Museum to printing hundreds of pieces to be displayed throughout a new Boston hotel.

We offer high resolution direct digital scanning of originals up to 40" x 60". Larger pieces can be accommodated using our professional digital camera system.

Archival museum-quality prints are output on beautiful watercolor paper or canvas.

Although the giclée printmaking process can be quite involved and complex, it can simply be thought of as consisting of four stages:
1.  Project Planning
2.  Image Capture
3.  Proofing
4.  Printing
